At Westland, our mission is to provide places that our residents feel proud to call home. We design for better living, with details that elevate communities -- from the basics like repairs and landscaping, to the unexpected, like communal art and dog parks. Recently, we worked with artist Aranta Colindres to bring her talent to the J3 Apartment complex in Beaverton, Oregon.
Her work is heavily influenced by her participation in ritual and spiritual teachings of indigenous peoples and her regard for her heritage, which includes Mayan, Caribbean, Nigerian, Spanish, German, and Hungarian ancestry. Her creativity is infused with a deep affinity for the natural world, especially animal life. Just take a look at her magic!
